Sodfa suffers in her life from her husband, Sayed the idiot, her cousin, who lives with her in his mother’s house in Abu Qir. Mahmoud returns to the place after completing his studies and supervises the brick factory owned by Um Sayed, which angers Sodfa, who knows that she was in a relationship with Mahmoud. Mahmoud assures her of his love, so she asks him to marry her after she asks for a divorce from Sayed, who turns out to be listening to their conversation closely, so a fight breaks out between them, and Sodfa encourages him to kill him.

When the alternative rock band Los Pijamistas agrees to play at Suena Caracas 2016, a propaganda festival organized by the Nicolás Maduro regime, the patience of guitarist and singer Andrés Bravo reaches a limit. But in Yorgos Tsemberopoulos’s nuanced moral maze the protagonist is the bookish Kostas (Manolis Mavromatakis), a suburban florist well versed in social and political theory, which he discusses at length with a local publican. But when his home is invaded by masked hoodlums, who bind his family and rape his teenage daughter, our everyman hero finds his intellectual stance untenable. Encouraged by his paranoid, militarist neighbour, Kostas decides to take the law into his own hands, and in doing so begins to understand – for the first time – the world he has been living in. The vigilante movie is a well-explored genre too, but Tsemberopoulos gives it a whole new urgency, subverting the cliched right-wing fantasy structure and seeing it through the eyes of a man who comes to find his real self while trying to live up to the (imagined) expectations of others. In this drama, a truck driver begins wooing a young woman who still lives with her father who constantly brags how he, not the town mayor, was responsible for catching a regiment of Germans during WW I. Unfortunately, no one in town takes him seriously. Later the daughter meets a German immigrant who confirms her father's claim. She then convinces her boy friend to use this information to blackmail the mayor into giving him a new truck and some extra amenities lest he tell the truth.
